Incoming first-years in 2010 may get quite a wild addition to their class roster. It seems Miley Cyrus, the obsession of every elementary school and tween girl, has her million-dollar-stare focused on none other than Nebraska Wesleyan University.

Cyrus was asked in a recent interview if she would consider taking time off her singing career, and her blonde wig, to attend college. She answered enthusiastically, "Yes, of course I want to do the college thing. I'm thinking next year, since I'll be 18, that I'll take some time off and just be a normal person. I want to get the whole experience, and college is one that I don't want to miss."

Cyrus has already started her search for the best colleges in the nation and even has a list of her top five choices. She listed NWU as her number one pick. The other four schools listed are Yale, Albuquerque University, Harvard, Michigan State and UCLA. When asked what her area of study would be, Cyrus stated she had considered a vocal music major, but felt she should study something that she wasn't already involved in. "I'm thinking about taking all the gen. ed classes first. I like learning about everything. Then I'd really like to start in a science program. I've always been good at mixing chemicals and blowing things up, so I think maybe I should learn a few tricks about that."

Cyrus says she has already applied to all of her dream schools and has been accepted to Albuquerque and Harvard. She made a special trip over spring break to meet with our own President Ohles for an interview and campus tour. She hopes to return soon when classes are in session to get a real feel of what life is like here at NWU.

So why NWU? "I want to go to school in a place that I'm completely unfamiliar with, but that feels like home at the same time. Nebraska is basically a big farm like my home, Tennessee, but it gives me new scenery and experiences that I can't get in Tennessee."

Calm down people, it's a joke. There's no need to insult the credibility of the writer. She's a perfectly wonderful person and was writing this for a laugh. Miley Cyrus will not be coming to NWU and regardless of your opinion about it, there is no need to write insulting comments about her or anything else regarding this article.

Wow you guys are bitches. It may be a joke, It may not be. Regardless, let her live her life without any negative comments by you guys. She's going to be 18, which implies that she is in fact old enough to make her own decisions and do what she wants without America jumping down her throat and judging her. It's completely pathetic of you guys.

Why is it that the comment section here or in the Journal Star is filled with negative comments? Does anyone ever have anything nice or positive to say about anything? Do we ever stop complaining? It sure shows the ugly side of us and it is embarrassing.

Interesting confliction: "The other four schools listed are Yale, Albuquerque University, Harvard, Michigan State and UCLA." Isn't that FIVE other schools, Molly? Definatly hurts your credibility...
