The 2010 Grammy Awards aired on Jan. 31, 2010 and was the usual show that everyone can expect year after year. The Michael Jackson tribute heightened viewership,
with his children accepting an award on his behalf. Beyonce broke a Grammy record by winning six awards, the most for a female solo artist, including Song of the Year with “Single Ladies.” The singer stepped out of her element and combined her hit “If I Were a Boy” with Alanis Morissette’s 1995 rock song “You Oughta Know.”

Taylor Swift closely followed Beyonce with four Grammy Awards for Best Country Song, Best Country Album, Best Country Vocal Performance and took home the big honor of Album of the Year. Swift joined the stage with singer Stevie Nicks while they performed a version of Fleetwood Mac’s “Rhiannon.”
