This year’s WEB Big Event featured the rock sensation, Recycled Percussion that has been headlining their own Vegas show ever since their third place finish on the television series America’s Got Talent. Recycled Percussion consists of four members: an electric guitarist, a DJ and two percussionists.

The two percussionists have sets made from trashcans and recycled buckets to make a different and impressive sound. The lead percussionist, Justin Spencer, is known as the world’s “fastest extreme drummer,” being able to hit 20 beats per second. To put this speed into perspective, a machine gun fires at 18 bullets per second, so to think that Spencer can play a drum faster than a gun is remarkable.

The energy Recycled Percussion brought to the stage was inspiring and their original beats were a wonder to see. Their ability to make music from trash kits of plastic buckets, ladders, mortar casings and huge 50-gallon containers put a new spin on music that no one has ever seen. This group really knew how to put on a show and they even brought new twists to rock hits of the past. The highlights of the night included Justin Spencer beat-boxing and his solo drum performance where he put drum sticks through the laces of his shoes and played beats on his shoes and drum sticks. The band ended the night on a high note with a medley of their favorite hit rock songs from The Beatles, Nirvana, Michael Jackson to name a few. After the show, the members of the group were available for autographs and photos.
