Student Affairs Senate Starts the Semester Strong

SAS President, Phil Bakken, congratulates a student from Dawes Middle School for receiving an award of excellence.

 

On January 23, 2012 Student Affairs Senate coordinated an Awards Ceremony with Dawes Middle School. Phil Bakken, Lindsey Jones, and Deanna Floe spoke for each of the three areas of recognition. 

On the first day of SAS meetings for the semester, January 24, 2012, senators swore in new senate members for the following positions: 1 Fine Arts, 1 Social Science, 3 Professional, and 3 At-Large. They also swore in new Greek representatives. SAS is still hoping to fill 1 Professional position and 2 Commuter positions. Following the new members, a constitutional amendment was read that will be voted on next week. This amendment provides for a position in the Greek division to represent Phi Kappa Tau.
