The Nebraska Wesleyan University baseball team was fortunate enough to play at Dell Diamond Park, which is the home of the Round Rock Express, the AAA affiliate of the Houston Astros.

The Prairie Wolves were able to manage this since the field of their opponent, Concordia University (Texas), was still under construction. Dell Diamond is recognized as one of the top facilities in Texas.

Playing in a big-time atmosphere, the Prairie Wolves stepped up to the occasion. Sophomore Josh Ostrom threw a complete game, allowing just one earned run, and also went 2-3 at the plate to lead NWU to a 7-6 victory over Concordia University (Texas). The Prairie Wolves broke a 5-5 tie in the seventh inning as they scored two runs in the top of the inning as Ostrom doubled and scored on a single by Bryon Janata. After Janata stole second he then scored on a single by Tanner Lewis.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, the Concordia Tornados didn't give up. They put the pressure on the Prairie Wolves as they managed one run on two hits. The game could easily have been lost if it wasn't for an all out diving catch by Sophomore Centerfielder Zach Munford. Ostrom then struck out the next batter to end the game.

The Prairie Wolves ended their spring trip with a 2-2 record. They start conference play against Mount Marty College and Sioux Falls University March 27 and 28 at Nebraska Wesleyan Field at Woods Park(33rd & J Street).
