After a successful fall campaign, the Nebraska Wesleyan Univerity’s men’s golf team is
in a good position to capture the programs 31st conference championship. With only two GPAC Qualifiers left, the Prairie Wolves are currently in 2nd place and twenty shots behind Morningside.

In the GPAC Qualifying tournaments, the Prairie Wolves have three players in the top ten. Junior Kyle Jaacks currently sits in 4th place and only nine shots off the leader from Morningside. Junior Patrick Hanzel is in 7th place, 11 shots back, and Senior Nate Jaeger holds onto 10th place, 15 shots back.

The NWU Men’s Golf team is in prime position to make a move for the GPAC crown
as they are hosting the third GPAC Qualifier at Firethorn Golf Club in Lincoln on April 12.
NWU Women’s golf team will look to improve this spring in the GPAC Championships.

The Prairie Wolves currently sit at 8th place in the team standings and 92 shots back from the leader Dakota Wesleyan University. Sophomore Alyssa McBride has a great opportunity to contend for the singles championship as she is currently in 9th place and only 12 shots back from the leader. Sophomore Sarah Hotovy and Junior Kiley Miller are both currently in a tie for 33rd, while Junior Lindsey Keyes is 37th.

The final two GPAC Qualifying tournaments are scheduled to be on April 10 and May 6 in Blair, Neb. and Sioux City, Iowa.
