Welcome back to another wonderful semester at Nebraska Wesleyan. I can only hope that many of you took advantage of the wonderful programs that the Intramural department held over the past semester.
We had some good laughs and memories, competing against friends and winning those priceless (and awesome) t-shirts. Now, this is a whole new semester with many more events to get involved in.
By the time you read this, the registration for basketball, soccer and our new sport dodgeball will be past the due-date, so hopefully many of you registered your teams to participate in these exciting sports.
After popular demand for it, we decided to add a dodgeball league that will be played on Sunday and Wednesday nights.
We also made a few changes to the basketball season this semester.
We have made the regular season longer, so that every team will be playing 11 games. This will help us to decide the teams for the tournaments better, and creates more playing time for the players. That also means that the tournament will be played after spring break.
The Intramural supervisors and Nate also got together to figure out the issues with the front doors being locked for some of the later games. From now on, there will always be one door open and a hall monitor waiting by the doors to let people in for the games.
That way, if anybody forgets their student ID’s, they won’t get locked out anymore. Hopefully this will resolve any more problems with that.
Please continue to send in your questions/comments to Nate Martin, the Intramural Director, or go talk to an intramural supervisor because we want to hear what you think.
Also, be on the lookout for some of our upcoming events.
We have made changes to the poker tournament. Instead of it being a poker tournament, we will be having a 10-point pitch tournament instead, so start thinking of a partner and get to practicing.
That is all I have for this week. Again, thanks for your participation, and we look forward to having another great semester with everybody.
