Volleyball Improves with GPAC Wins

Twentieth-ranked Nebraska Wesleyan University capped off a successful weekend with a 3-0 sweep over Dakota Wesleyan in a Great Plains Athletic Conference volleyball match on Saturday afternoon at Snyder Arena. The Prairie Wolves won by scores of 25-22, 25-19, 25-20.

The Prairie Wolves also defeated Sioux Falls on Friday to finish the homestand with a 2-0 record. NWU improves to 16-6 overall and 6-4 in the GPAC.

Laura Brammeier had an outstanding match for NWU as she had 20 kills with an impressive .531 hitting percentage.

She completed her double-double with 12 digs to lead the team in that category as well.

Ashley Jedlicka nearly had a triple-double as she also recorded 38 assists, 10 digs and eight kills from her setter position.

NWU will now have a week off until they hit the road for a pair of matches next weekend against nationally-ranked teams. NWU will play at Northwestern College on Friday and Dordt College on Saturday.
